LET’S SEE THE CITY LJUBLJANA

The guide Let's see the city Ljubljana is intended as a tool to get to know the city, especially its spatial and architectural qualities. We wanted to present them in a picturesque and interesting way, which would be suitable for both families with children and tourists, and after all everyone who is at least slightly interested in the city and architecture. We are aware that it is not possible to present everything, but we have tried to include in the guide all the most interesting and recognizable spaces, streets and buildings that give citizens and visitors the best impression of the architectural space in Ljubljana.

The guide consists of two main sections: a historical overview and individual architectural walks. The historical overview is divided into ten time periods, from the prehistoric - Pilestone period, Roman Emona, Middle Ages, Baroque, Classicism, Secession, Modernist and Plečnik's Ljubljana, to the post-war socialist period and modern Ljubljana.

Each architectural walk includes a general description of the walk or tour with a map of the city, followed by more detailed presentations of individual important buildings, squares and parks. Two pages are devoted to each exposed building, with a more detailed professional description, photographs, plan, illustration and a wealth of interesting facts and information that make architecture attractive to younger and older children.
